Sciala Vermentino di Gallura DOCG Vendemmia Tardiva
Features
Description
From the same grapes to "Sciala" Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, another amazing Vermentino wine is born from the important structure and complex aromatic parfumes, thanks to a late harvest of the ripest and carefully selected bunches. After de-stimming, the must is kept in contact with the skins for 12-24 hours. Alcoholic fermentation takes place half in concrete tanks, where the wine will evolve for 7 months on its own yeasts, and half in non-toasted and large French oak barrels. The assembly of the two parts evolves in small steel tanks for about 6 months, always in contact with their fine lees.
TASTING NOTES
With a careful look, the wine is straw yellow colour with golden nuances and its bouquet is intense, with hints of exotic yellow fruits, delicate broom flowers and herbaceous scents, typical of Mediterranean scrub. Soft on the palate, its tasting is very persistent in the mouth, recalling mineral and sweet-spicy notes. We recommend serving it at a temperature of 12-14 C.
