Sauvignon Friuli Colli Orientali DOC La Viarte
La Viarte's Sauvignon winery is a white wine from Friuli Colli Orientali obtained from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The timid aroma of this international grape expands during the fermentation. But it is the harmony of the wine that makes great this Sauvignon, when colour, nose and taste come together to give a unique wine of its kind. After a manual harvest with selection of the best bunches in the vineyard, the grapes are subjected to white vinification, with soft pressing and fermentation in steel at 16 °C. The wine refines on fine lees in steel tanks for about 7 months, followed by a further refinement in the bottle for at least another month.
Straw yellow with green clear hues. Intense, extremely rich, fresh and fragrant aroma. The hints of pepper, citrus fruits, kiwi, and light sage, jasmine and bergamot are particularly noticeable. Dry, intense and rightly aromatic taste. In the mouth the wine is tasty and mineral, of great character and with a clear nose-palate correspondence. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 10-12 °C.
La Viarte's Sauvignon is the right white wine to combine with omelettes with herbs, shellfish, vegetables risottos, fatty fish and fresh creamy cheese. Intriguing with Fontina soufflé and mixed salad, borage and glazed scallops soup, dill salmon fillet, Brie de Meaux DOP cheese.
