Rafaèl Valpolicella DOC Classico Superiore
Rafaèl is a Valpolicella Classico Superiore produced by Tommasi. A blend of 60% Corvina Veronese, 25% Rondinella and 15% Molinara grapes, coming from the vineyard of the same name "Rafaèl", the first historic vineyard of Tommasi family, in the Valpolicella Classica. After a fermentation at a controlled temperature of 25-30 °C, the wine refines about 12 months in 65 hl Slavonian oak barrels. The first vintage is dated 1902.
Rafaèl is distinguished by its bright ruby red colour and its large bouquet. The nose is intense with hints of ripe cherry, red fruits, floral notes and slightly spicy. Elegant on the palate and persistent, with soft tannins. We suggest serving it at 16-18 °C.
