Tarà Rosso Piceno DOC
Tarà Rosso Piceno DOC produced by Tenuta Cocci Grifoni is a red wine from Marche, obtained from 60% Sangiovese and 40% Montepulciano grapes, grown in the homonymous Tenuta Tarà. The estate vineyards ages between 20 and 30 years and they are immersed in a naturalistic and wooded envirnment of considerable value, circumscribed by two large canyons that support vines development. Grapes harvest starts in the third week of September. After maceration, grapes ferments on their skins at a controlled temperature of no more than 28 °C. The wine refines in stainless steel tanks for 4 months and in bottle for at least 2 months.
This Rosso Piceno DOC has a limpid ruby red colour with purple undertones. The nose expresses an intense aromatic complexity, from which floral notes of fresh red flowers emerge, together with fruity aromas of plums, ripe cherries and red oranges. In the mouth it is dry, warm, fresh, with a soft and well-balanced tannic stucture, finishing quite long. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18 °C.
