Asterìas Fiano Campania IGT
Asterìas is a single-variety Fiano white wine from Cilento, produced by Tempa di Zoè winery in Campania. It is the first white wine from this producer. "Asterìas" means "starfish" in Greek and this name has inspired the producer for this modern wine label. The symbol of the star is a guide but also a reference point: it takes inspiration also from the Stella Mount, a massif that rises in the Cilento National Park, reaching 1131 meters above sea level and which stands on the Fiano vineyard of the winery, set between the mountain and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Fiano grapes ferment in steel tanks after being softly crushed. The wine ages 11 months for 60% in steel tanks and 40% in 10 hl oak barrels. It completes its aging in the bottle for another 2 months before being released.
It is a coastal generous and savory Fiano. The impact is immediately fruity: notes of grapefruit and white peach, nuances of chamomile and honey. In the mouth it is fresh, very long finish, with a perfect nose-to-mouth matching. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 11-12 °C.
