Le Sughere di Frassinello Maremma Toscana DOC
Le Sughere di Frassinello is a great Tuscan red wine produced in the heart of Maremma by Rocca di Frassinello winery. This is the second label produced by the famous Tuscan company, a wine of great texture, in which Sangiovese and the international grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot merge to make a great Italian-French wine. At its 5th harvest it was already in the Wine Spectator TOP 100. It is made from 25% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Sangiovese grapes. The harvest is done manually in late August (Merlot) and mid-September (Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon). After a maceration in steel at a controlled temperature, malolactic fermentation takes place and the wine evolves in 50% new barriques for about 12 months. It completes its refinement in the bottle for another 9 months.
Intense ruby red colour, ample scents of red fruits. In the mouth it has a great texture, soft and round tannins and a long and enveloping finish. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
