Fedora Castel del Monte DOC
Fedora is an Apulian white wine produced by Rivera winery and obtained from a special blend of traditional varieties of the Castel del Monte DOC area, such as 65% Bombino Bianco and 20% Pampanuto, together with 15% Chardonnay which enhances the complexity of this wine. The harvest is performed around mid-August for Chardonnay and at the end of September for Pampanuto and Bombino Bianco. The grapes ferment in steel for 9-10 days at 18 °C, then refine in vitrified cement tanks for 3-4 months.
From the blend of these Apulian native grapes, a very pleasant fresh wine is born. It has a pale straw yellow colour. Crispy bouquet with floral and fruit notes. In the mouth the taste is delicately fruity and well-balanced, with a subtle, tasty acidity. We suggest serving it at 6-8 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Fedora by Rivera is a wine suitable for pairing with appetizers, fish dishes and light pastas. Very fresh, it is also excellent as an aperitif.
Rivera winery was founded by Sebastiano de Corato in the late 1940s, inspired by a vision of realising, and bringing to the world's attention, the enormous viticultural potential of the Castel del Monte area. Widespread recognition quickly followed, and Rivera became the benchmark of Apulia wine production and the force driving its rebirth, thanks as well to innovations in both winemaking and vineyards introduced by his son Carlo.
