Battaglione Barbera d'Alba DOC
Battaglione Barbera d'Alba DOC is a red wine from Langhe, produced by the famous Piedmontese winery Renato Ratti and made from 100% Barbera grapes. The first label of this wine is dated 1994. The grapes are harvested towards the end of September and the beginning of October. Once they arrive at the cellar, the winemaking process starts. After destemming and crushing, the grapes ferment at a controlled temperature of 28-30 °C in stainless steel tanks, with 7-10 days of maceration. The wine is aged in steel for several months beofre being realesed.
Battaglione Barbera d'Alba DOC has a cardinal red colour with bright and brilliant tones. Intense aromas that immediately recalls ripe and dry plum on a finely spiced base. The typical acidity and delicate structure make this wine elegant and harmonious. Full and long-lasting taste. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 16-18 °C. This wine has an estimated aging potential of 5-8 years.

Chosen for you
Renato Ratti winery is a representative label of Piedmontese and national enology. Mr. Ratti bought the first vineyard for the production of Barolo in 1965: it was a small vineyard in the historic area of Marcenasco, under the Abbazia dell'Annunziata in La Morra, about halfway up the hill overlooking the main Barolo valley.
