Cipressi Barbera d'Asti Nizza DOCG
Cipressi is a great red wine from Piedmont produced by Michele Chiarlo winery. It is obtained from 100% Barbera grapes, grown only in the best vineyards of La Court estate. Cipressi expresses the quintessence of Barbera thanks to its elegance, freshness but also great structure and character.
After a careful manual harvest, the must macerates in steel tanks for about 10-12 days in contact with the skins, with a soft wetting of the cap, at a temperature between 30-27 °C. After malolactic fermentation in steel, the obtained wine is refined for at least 18 months, 12 of which in large barrels before refining in the bottle.
Cipressi Nizza DOCG has a ruby red colour. The nose is intense and the wine surprises for its clarity and elegance, thanks to aromas of red fruits such as ripe cherry and raspberry, together with sweet tobacco notes. In the mouth the taste is complex, structured and it impresses for its fresh softness and roundness; pleasing savoury finish. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
