Rovereto Gavi DOCG
Rovereto is one of the very few historical Crus of Gavi wines, produced by Michele Chiarlo winery. On the hills of the vineyard where the vine is grown, the clayey, dark and pebbly soils give rise to a Gavi of great personality.
Rovereto wine comes from very low yields, 7-8 clusters per plant, which help to enhance complexity, finesse, minerality and longevity. After the manual harvest, a part of the grapes is subjected to cold maceration for the perfect expression of the peculiar aromas. Soft pressing and fermentation at a temperature between 16 and 18 °C. The obtained wine ages for about 5 months on the yeasts in steel tanks, before refining in the bottle.
Straw-yellow in colour with greenish undertones, it gives the glass an intense, elegant and persistent bouquet of white flowers, Golden apple, chives and mineral notes. In the mouth it is of good structure, fragrance and final length pleasantly sapid and round. It is suggested to serve it at a temperature of 10-11 °C.
