Barolo DOCG Massolino
Massolino's Barolo is obtained from Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated in the vineyards around Serralunga d'Alba, which is considered as one of the most beautiful ancient village in Italy. It is a traditional Barolo, with fermentation and maceration of 15 days at varying temperatures between 31 and 33 °C, whose aging involves the use of oak barrels for at least 30 months, followed by a further refinement in the bottle.
For sure, the first thing that strikes our attention in Massolino Barolo is its major red garnet color that looks of varying intensity depending on the year; the range of perfumes that recalls is very big, from the spicy notes to the more sweet, floral and fruity. The taste is typical of a full-bodied wine, classic and well structured, that is not afraid of aging and is so important, like the egregious character of Piedmont lands. It is advisable to drink it at a temperature of 18-20 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
The ideal food matchings for this Barolo are red meats, especially game and truffle dishes. Also great with egg pasta with meat sauces and rice, as well as with cheeses vaccines and mature goats. Overall, a very high level wine and a good company for a wide range of culinary occasions.
Chosen for you
Since 1896 the Massolinos manage the family company, firmly believing in the deep affinity between the vine and the territory. For this reason, they have always invested in the typicality of the autochthonous grapes, working with the greatest care from the vine to the bottle and following step by step every moment of the production. Modernity and tradition find a synthesis within a family with a more than a hundred years old passion: the wine.
