Ronco dei Moreri Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso
Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is an ancient Friulnative variety born between the Karst and Istria. The Refosco produced by Marco Felluga is called "Ronco Dei Moreri" is grown on the hills of Farra d'Isonzo and owes its name to the position of the vineyard: "ronco" in Friulano means "hilly plot", while "moreri" are the trees of mulberry trees that surround the vineyard.
The grapes separated by the stalks macerate in large steel vats for a variable period depending on the year. During this phase, delicate operations of fulling allow to extract the noble components precursors of taste and aroma. The wine obtained ages about 12 months in large and small oak barrels and a further 6 months in the bottle.
Intense red color, tending to garnet. Enveloping and intriguing aromas of fresh fruit reminiscent of raspberry and wild blackberry, in perfect harmony. In the mouth the wine responds exactly to the olfactory sensations, with an excellent persistence in the final. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 16 °C.
