Illivio Friuli Colli Orientali DOC
Created in 1998 by the sons of Livio Felluga and dedicated to him for his birthday, Illivio is an amazing White wine from Friuli that reflects the personality of the "Patriarch", strong and elegant. This wine if obtain from a blend of Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Picolit grapes. After a careful manual harvest in mid-September, the grapes are delicately destemmed and left to macerate for a short time. Subsequently, they are softly crushed and the must is clarified by decanting and it ferments at controlled temperature in small French oak barrels where it matures for 10 months. At the end of fermentation the wine ages on the yeasts in small oak barrels for a period of about 10 months. It completes its refining in a bottle at controlled temperature.
Intense straw-yellow colour, it has a penetrating, fragrant and elegant aroma, with notes of white peach and candied citrus peel and perfectly melted boisée essences; this bouquet that expresses finesse and personality. In the mouth it is balaced masterfully: the class of Pinot Blanc, the volume of Chardonnay and the sweetness of Picolit. The savory finish is dominated by sweet notes that enhance its breadth. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 12-13 °C.

Chosen for you
In Friuli, and far beyond this special land of very special people and wines, the name Livio Felluga is synonymous with all that is best in the oenological heritage.
The long family tradition extends over five generations, back to the days when the Fellugas were making Refosco and Malvasia in their native Isola d’Istria.
Seventy years ago, the family’s skills were transferred to Friuli by the eldest son of the fourth generation, Livio, whose great privilege it is to be regarded as the patriarch of viticulture and winemaking in the region.
