Terra di Rosso Campania IGT
Since 1994 Galardi winery was thinking of giving a "younger brother" to the famous "Terra di Lavoro" and in 2017 Terra di Rosso Campania IGP was born. It is a great red wine from Campania, which is originated from the excellent performance of the Piedirosso, vinified as single variety and followed with care and attention for the creation of this new exciting Galardi label. Fast winemaking process: fermentation in contact with the skins for 20 days, with cap sinking several times a day. Malolactic fermentation in steel and a brief passage in new barriques of Allier and Never for 8 months.
Terra di Rosso is a wine with an intense ruby red colour and purple undertones. It opens to the nose with a fresh vegetable vein, which gradually leaves space for the fruity fullness of cherries and sour cherries. Persistent and long aromatic sensations that show how much the vinification treatments do not disappoint in terms of the thickness and depth features that a quality wine must have. To be drunk young for the right amount of soft and silky tannins. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Galardi's Terra di Rosso Campania IGP is a great red wine which mantains its main characteristics and therefore it will be easy to bring it to the table. As authentic red from Campania, it is essential to combine it with pizza (especially if margherita and marinara); it is also excellent on fish soups and white meat, typical Neapolitan dishes including ragù.
Chosen for you
Galardi winery is located on the slopes of Roccamonfina volcano, in Campania and it is run personally by the owners, who founded it in 1991, relying on the consulting of the famous Italian oenologist Riccardo Cotarella. The first intervention concerned the recovery of old vineyards and later the construction of new plants.
