Rancia Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG
This Chianti Classico Riserva produced by Fèlsina winery takes its name from the historic Rancia farmhouse, located in Castelnuovo Berardenga at elevations ranging between 400 and 420 metres it has a fine southwest-facing exposure. We are in the heart of the Chianti wine district where the characteristic climate and soil give class and elegance to this wonderful wine we selected. After the quality-selected clusters are de-stemmed and pressed, the must is fermented and macerated in stainless steel for 16-20 days at 28°C and 30°C, with programmed punchdowns and daily pumpovers. In March-April, the new wine goes into new French oak barrels; after 18-20 months of maturation, the final blend is assembled, bottled, and ages in glass a minimum of 6-8 months.
The aromas we found are a blend of delightful sensations just waiting to be explored, you can smell black and red cherries and violets, hints of liquorice and cinnamon. In the mouth is where its strength resides, a pleasant freshness with a rounded and flavourful body in which you can taste touches of black pepper and a balsamic finish. We suggest serving it at 18 °C.
