Rosso di Montepulciano DOC by Fattoria del Cerro is an excellent Tuscan red wine suitable for everyday meals. It is mainly composed of Sangiovese, also called Prugnolo Gentile in Montepulciano. After the harvest, the grapes macerate in steel for 8-10 days at a controlled temperature of 24-26 °C with daily pumpings over. Once racked, the wine is transferred to steel vats, where it rests for at least 8 months, before completing its refinement for a few months in the bottle.
It has a ruby red colour. Aromas of small red fruits. Well-balanced taste, elegant with a slight tannic note at the beginning. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18 °C in medium-sized glasses. This Tuscan red wine has an estimated aging capacity of 3-5 years.

Fattoria del Cerro is one of the Tuscan estates, located in Acquaviva in Montepulciano (SI), with its 181 hectares, whose 94 mostly devoted to the production of the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, for a total area of about 600 hectares, including the olive grove.
