Masetto Nero Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT
Masetto Nero is a fascinating typical red wine from Trentino, obtained from 4 red wines: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Lagrein and Teroldego. Endrizzi selects only the best grapes coming from Masetto and Maso Kinderleit vineyards in S. Michele all'Adige, vinifying them with care to best express the identity of the winery.
After a strong summer thinning, only selected bunches are pressed, coming from the oldest vines. It follows the alcoholic fermentation with frequent punching down, for about 10 days, subsequent maceration and malolactic fermentation. The wine obtained is aged partly in barriques, partly in large barrels for 18 months. It refines in bottle for further 6 months.
Ruby red colour. Elegantly spicy and complex bouquet with hints of blueberry, raspberry, cocoa and vanilla. Full, particularly harmonious flavour, despite the intense tannic structure. It is persist in the aftertaste. We suggest serving it at 18-20 °C. It is a wine suitable for long aging, estimated up to 10 years.
