Blend of Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo with international grape varieties. In blending these grapes, Col d'Orcia has reinterpreted the old and noble art of assembling spices so as to obtain and exalt the complexity of flavours. Spezieri is perfect in combination with refined red meat preparations, such as beef steak with porcini or fillet with green pepper sauce.
Col d’Orcia is one of the oldest established wineries of Montalcino. The archaeological excavations show that the slopes of Orcia River were inhabited since the Etruscans, over 2500 years ago. Some olive trees among the Brunello vineyards prove all favourable conditions of Col d'Orcia’s climate and soil for growing grapes and olives.
