Chianti DOCG Piccini
Chianti DOCG from Piccini winery is the symbol of the Tuscan company. Chianti is one of the best known classification in the world and it expresses the history and the unique beauty of the Tuscan. The Piccini family has always been very attached to this wine and the orange label is today the emblem of Piccini's production. The orange is, in fact, the color that distinguishes Piccini's brand and that expresses all the energy and the passion of the company. This Chianti is obtained from an assembly of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Ciliegiolo grapes, selected and vinified at a controlled temperature in steel with long maceration and frequent pumpings over.
It has a ruby red colour. To the nose there are hints of red fruits, with light cherry notes. Fresh, soft and velvety on the palate, it is balanced with soft tannins and intensely fruity hints also at the gustatory level. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Piccini's Chianti DOCG is an excellent Tuscan Chianti wine that pairs well with first courses typical of the Tuscan tradition, such as pici with wild boar ragout, or more generally Italian pasta. It is an excellent wine also for red and white meats, especially roasts. Very good pairing with sausage pizza.
Piccini is one of the largest wine company in Tuscany and its wines are distributed in over 80 countries worldwide. The enological history of the Piccini Family began in 1882 with Angiolo Piccini and a small winery of only 7 hectares in Castellina in Chianti and it boasts 4 generations for which wine is a real passion.
