AnssèmA Nizza Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG
In the '80s Anna and Bruno Ciocca, both born in Nizza-Monferrato and with a great love for their territory, started a project of high-quality wines exclusively with grapes of their own vineyards, exalting their characteristics and identity. Hence, it is born "AnssèmA", an amazing Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG, which is obtained from 100% Barbera grapes, grown in the beautiful vineyards in the Nizza DOCG (Piedmont). After de-stemming and a maceration on the skins for about 10 days, the must fermets at controlled temperature. It completes the malolactic fermentation and ages in wooden barrels.
It has a very intense ruby red colour, with garnet hues. The nose has a good intensity, opening with spicy aromas and lightly toasty aromas, followed by red fruits scents, such as plum, black currant and blackberry. On the palate it is very elegant, warm, dry, recalling persistent notes of vanilla and coffee in the finish We suggest serving it at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
It can perfectly pair with tasty first courses, red meat and game, stewed and braised, as well as cold cuts and cheese.
Cascina Giovinale is an old farmhouse already mentioned in the chronicles of the late nineteenth century, which inspired Anna and Bruno Ciocca, both "nicesi" and with a great love for the territory. Anna and Bruno decide prodcing high quality wines exclusively with grapes of their own vineyards, enhancing their characteristics and identity. Thus, in the '80s, the farm was founded, with 7 hectares of vineyards and a winery in Nizza Monferrato, on the top of the San Nicolao hill.
