Rosso di Montepulciano DOC Carpineto
Carpineto's Rosso di Montepulciano wine is produced in the historic territory of Montepulciano (Siena), at an altitude of about 250 m. above sea level. The soils from which this wine is born, are composed of a sandy and well drained alluvial substratum with a moderately alkaline reaction. This Tuscan wine is a blend of minimum of 70% Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile) and up to 30% Canaiolo or other authorized grape varieties. After maceration on the skins for about 10-12 days at temperatures between 25 and 30 °C, the wine is refined and at the end of spring, it is ready for bottling.
Brilliant ruby red colour with an intense vinous perfume, that recalls cherry and strawberry. Fruity, young, fresh and slightly tannic taste. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18-20 °C.

Chosen for you
Founded in 1967, Carpineto is a partnership between Giovanni C. Sacchet and Antonio M. Zaccheo, whose original mission was to produce a world-class red wine from the Chianti Classico appellation. This was a radical departure from the marketplace of the times when most Chianti was still produced in the traditional winemaking style. Carpineto’s visionary founders recognized the untapped potential of the Tuscan landscape to produce truly great wines. By applying modern viticulture and winemaking techniques, they dramatically exceeded the quality standards of the day.
