Hybla Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG
Hybla Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG by Cantine Nicosia is a Sicilian red wine, young expression of a wine coming from the south-eastern Sicily: Cerasuolo di Vittoria. It is a wine whose origins date back to the early seventeenth century, when the Counts of Modica founded the city of Vittoria in the Hyblaean territory. It is a blend of Nero d'Avola and Frappato, which perfectly combines intensity and freshness, elegance and drinkability. After a manual harvest in the second half of September, the grapes are subjected to cold maceration for 24 hours. Fermentation lasts about 10-15 days and takes place at a controlled temperature (22-24 °C). The wine matures mainly in steel and briefly in tonneaux and it completes its refinement in the bottle for another 6 months.
It has a cherry red colour with bright purple undertones. On the nose the aroma is intensely fruity, with prevailing notes of raspberries and blackberries. In the mouth it is soft, balanced and with good structure. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
