Ettamiano Appassimento Salento IGT
Ettamiano Appassimento is a red wine produced by Apulian native Primitivo grapes, by one of the most famous winemaker of this Italian region: Cantine Due Palme. During the 14-days maceration phase, the wine also completes its alcoholic fermentation at a temperature within 20 °C in thermoregulated steel tanks, to be transferred to precious American oak barriques (called Odyssée) for about 9 months, in order to enhance the tannic structure and complete malolactic fermentation. A second bottle aging also contributes to the harmony of the structure.
It shows an intense red colour, with notes tending to the orange hues. This red wine expresses an important richness of parfumes: on the nose you immediately perceive fruity notes, together with slight toasted spicies and vanilla, chocolate aromas. Well-bodied, in the mouth its tannins are perfectly in balance with the fruity background, which returns to the palate with an ending of almonds and nuts. We recommend serving it at a temperature of 18-20 °C.
