Terre di Orazio Aglianico del Vulture DOC
Terre di Orazio Aglianico del Vulture DOC is a red wine from Basilicata produced by Cantina di Venosa from 100% Aglianico grapes, grown around the municipality of Venosa. The harvest takes place in the middle of October, with a careful selection of grapes harvested by hand in the early hours of the morning. The winemaking process involves maceration at a controlled temperature between 23 and 26 °C for about 10 days, followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine refines first in 25 hectoliters wood barrels for 15 months, then refining in the bottle before being released.
This Aglianico del Vulture DOC is well structured and has an intense ruby red colour with light garnet hues. The bouquet is vinous, fruity, with clear hints of violets and currants. In the mouth it is dry, balanced, intense and pleasantly tannic. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18-20 °C.
