Riesling Alto Adige DOC Valle Isarco
The origins of Riesling date back to Germany and is one of the most valuable grape varieties. The grape has been included in South Tyrol by the Archduke John of Austria in the nineteenth century. The Alto Adige DOC Riesling from Cantina Valle Isarco is made from 100% Riesling, grown in the cold-climate wine areas and manages to give the best of itself on the steepest slopes. The bunches are processed and gently pressed, before fermenting at a controlled temperature. The wine ages on the noble lees in stainless steel tanks and does not carry out any malolactic fermentation.
This Riesling is light yellow in colour with greenish reflections. Fruity aromas, which release notes of peach and apricot. In the mouth it is very fresh, aromatic, presented with a spicy flavour, with a slight muscatel note. The acidity is well structured and gives elegance to the sip. It has an evolutionary capacity that reaches 3-5 years in the bottle, if well preserved. We recommend serving the wine at a temperature of 8-10 °C.
