Peàn Bolgheri Rosso DOC
"Peàn" (Paean) is a hymn to Apollo, the sun God. Like how "..Pean lifting the heart of mankind" in a Gabriele d'Annunzio poem, even this red Tuscan wine from Bolgheri produced by Batzella winery will be able to cheer everyone who tastes it up. Peàn Bolgheri Rosso DOC is made from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc grapes. After a manual harvest, the grapes reach the cellar, ready for the traditional winemaking process. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks, while malolactic fermentation in barrique. The wine ages into French oak barrels and tonneaux for about 12 months, before being transferred into bottles, where it completes its refinement for another 12 months.
Peàn Bolgheri Rosso DOC has an intense ruby red colour. The nose expresses a complex and inviting aromatic bouquet, composed of notes of ripe red fruits, especially cherries, together with spicy essences, cocoa and woody note in the background. In the mouth flavours are ample, fresh and exuberant. Good structure and elegant tannins. Long and persistent finish, which invites you to a new sip. We recommend serving this wine at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
