Laudàri Chardonnay Sicilia DOC
Laudàri is a 100% Chardonnay produced by Baglio del Cristo di Campobello winery, which is located nearby Agrigento. This is an international white wine but with Sicilian soul land and particularly linked to the chalky soil of Baglio, 260 meters above sea level. The grapes are usually harvested by hand in small boxes, between the second and third week of August. After a destemming and crushing, the grapes are cooled down at about 8-10 °C for maceration. The free-run must is separated and left to settle at low temperature. Alcoholic fermentation is activated by selected yeasts and it begins in steel vats and ends in barriques for about 3-4 months, with weekly bâtonnages. The wine completes its aging in bottle for 8-12 months before its realese.
This Sicilian Chardonnay has an intense bright yellow colour. The nose reveals fresh notes of citrus and white flowers, which gradually evolve into buttery and fruity aromas of mango and yellow plum on a background of vanilla. In the mouth it is soft and full, with good freshness and acidity. Excellent flavour-olfactory harmony and persistent finish. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 9-11 °C. Its aging capacity is estimated up to 3-5 years from the harvest.

Immaculate Bonetta’s vineyards.
They are found all around the wonderful Baglio, on the low hills of limestone/gypsum in this portion of Campobello (Licata), where the Mediterranean refreshing breeze comes in the evening, precisely from the side facing Licata.
Grillo, Inzolia and Chardonnay are the white grapes that characteze great wines, such as Adènzia Bianco, Lalùci and Laudàri; while Nero d'Avola, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are the red grapes that give life to Lusirà and Lu Patri.
