Adènzia Rosso Sicilia DOC
"Profound driving forces and the will to listen - what Sicilians term "dare adènzia" (giving audience) - and an insistence on claritym, in an act of understanding that is life itseld. Grillo and Insolia combine to create something of greater value than the sum of their parts".
Adènzia Rosso Sicilia DOC is a great Sicilian red wine are Nero d'Avola and Syrah, cultivated nearby Agrigento (Sicily) by Baglio del Cristo di Campobello winery. Grapes are harvested between the second and the third decade of September. Hand harvesting is manual in small crates. Traditional red vinification, with maceration on the skins for 15-20 days at controlled temperatures. 12 months in 110-hectoliter steel-French oak casks and minimum of 13 months of aging in bottle.
Very wide-ranging spectrum of aromas, with hints of cherry and forest fruits, together with delicious notes of vanilla. Caressing and spicy, with firm but graceful tannins. This wine has an aging potential of at least 10 years. We recommend serving it at a temperature of 18-20 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Adènzia Rosso is a wine that combines perfectly with all typical tasty first courses of Sicilian gastronomic tradition, such Tagliatelle with sausage raù or pasta with "Norma" sauce. Excellent also in combination with grilled or stew red and white meat or aged cheese.
Baglio del Cristo di Campobello
Immaculate Bonetta’s vineyards.
They are found all around the wonderful Baglio, on the low hills of limestone/gypsum in this portion of Campobello (Licata), where the Mediterranean refreshing breeze comes in the evening, precisely from the side facing Licata.
Grillo, Inzolia and Chardonnay are the white grapes that characteze great wines, such as Adènzia Bianco, Lalùci and Laudàri; while Nero d'Avola, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are the red grapes that give life to Lusirà and Lu Patri.
