Verduzzo Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Arzenton
Arzenton's Verduzzo is a sweet white wine from Friuli, made from 100% Verduzzo Friulano grapes. The grapes are left to dry on the vine, to enhance the concentration of sugars and aromatic substances. After destemming and crushing, the must remains in maceration for about 6-8 hours, enriching the tannins and colour. It follows fermentation at low temperatures and wine refinement for about 2 years in steel barrels and a further 6 months in the bottle.
Verduzzo's colour has golden colour, less or more captivating depending on the vintage. In the glass aromas are intense, recalling honey parfumes and more fruity notes of yellow peach and apricot. Due to its tannins, it is not cloying. We suggest serving it at 10-12 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Verduzzo Friulano by Arzenton is an excellent wine to pair with low-sugar desserts. Thanks to its tannins, it can also be combined with cheese and pâtés.
