Benedè Catarratto Sicilia DOC BIO
Benedè Catarratto Sicilia DOC is a native Sicilian white wine, made from 100% Catarratto grapes, cultivated by Alessandro di Camporeale winery between Contrada Mandranova and Contrada Macellarotto, in the countryside of Camporeale (PA). The harvest is carried out in the second decade of September with manual harvesting and selection of the bunches. The grapes are de-stemmed and cooled, to then be softly pressed in the absence of oxygen. A fermentation of about 15 days follows in steel tanks at 14-15 °C; aging in steel for 6 months on the fine lees at 10-12 °C. The wine completes its refiniment in the bottle at 18 °C for another 2 months.
Catarratto is a native Sicilian white wine and it is the witness of the winemaking tradition on the island. Benedè by Alessandro di Camporeale has soft and captivating aromas. From the bright straw yellow stands out gentle and fragrant notes of almond, white peach, orange blossom and citrus, making up a refined and inviting bouquet, easy to interpret. Freshness, volume, and elegance are the salient features of this ample and pleasantly complex wine, with uncommon qualities of vivacity and persistence. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 10-12 °C.
