Col Credas Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco Superiore Rive di Farra di Soligo Brut
The name Col Credas refers to Credazzo, a hill complex in Farra di Soligo, whose soils are marked by rich deposits of clay (creda, in the local dialect); Col Credas is one of the “Rive”, hillslope vineyards that are sometimes unbelievably steep. This single vineyard cru boasts a superb nose, spacious, well-balanced, and intense, laced with delicate floral notes of wisteria and acacia blossom. The palate progresses to an elegant finish remarkable for its crisp dryness.
Straw yellow colour. Dense mousse and delicate, long-lasting bead. Broad and generous, intense and well balanced bouquet, releasing delicate floral notes, such as wisteria and acacia blossoms, and crisp impressions of fruit, particularly of apple and pear. Extremely Brut in style, with classic tangy acidity, very dry yet richly-flavoured; always strikingly full-volumed and remarkably refreshing, with a lengthy progression in the mouth. Impressively mirrors the fragrances on the nose. Exhibits superb harmony and elegance, crowned with a notably dry finish.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Excellent as a wine to be enjoyed throughout a meal, but it is perfect with filleted sea bass with sun-dried tomatoes and hazelnuts. Partners beautifuly with all seafood (baked fish, shellfish) and with light first courses.
