Veneto

The history of Veneto wine is linked to Etruscans and Romans, without forgetting the Republic of Venice which, thanks to trade, spread Veneto wine and introduced foreign grape varieties, now heritage of the region. Home to the very first Italian school for vine-growing and oenology, founded in 1885, Veneto was the first region to constitute the first strada del vino or "wine road". Amongst the top wine-producing regions, both for quality and quantity, Veneto Wines count for over 20 DOC zones and a variety of sub-categories, from the deep Amarone reds to the light sparkling Prosecco. The joy of scented bubbles, the refinement of white wines, the austerity of its red and of the beauty of the rosé make Veneto one of the most complete regions in terms of wine.
