Today our experts have decided to open a bottle of the Cave du Vin Blanc Winery, selecting and tasting the 2014 "Blanc de Morgex and de la Salle" white wine, made from grapes Prié blanc - Blanc de Morgex biotypes.
A small region that combines landscapes of rare beauty and high-quality wine production. Not only Mone Bianco, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso, but also red and white wines, which are expressions of pure quality.
The viculture area is crossed by Dora Baltea River, which contributes to the microclimates richness of this region. The Aosta Valley is characterized by continental climate with significant temperature changes, but nevertheless the necessary exposure to the sun, especially in the left side of the Dora Baltea. The heights that can reach about 1200 meters above sea level, the steep slopes and the reduced production convey to viticulture a sense of rural heroism, as to define the winemaker environment of this region as "heroic viticulture". The small production of wine in the Aosta Valley boasts, in general, very pleasant wines of extreme olfactory definition , combined with balanced body and structure, thanks to the special microclimate and clay, sandy soils. In about 500 hectares of vineyards, the Aosta Valley produces very interesting DOC wines, such as Chambave, Nus, Enfer d'Arvier, Blanc de Morgex and Torrette.
