Tenuta La Viola
Tenuta La Viola is a family run winery located in Bertinoro, in Emilia-Romagna region, which is home of wine and hospitality. In the cellar there is the Gabellini family, who is committed to the cultivation of Sangiovese and Albana since 1962. The winery was founded in 1998 and covers 7 hectares of vineyard dedicated mainly to Sangiovese, the most representative grape variety of Romagna. The position of the company, on the one hand on the hillside facing the Adriatic Sea and on the other facing the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, creates a unique and indispensable microclimate which, combined with the exceptional characteristics of the soil, gives the wines strong minerality, intense coluors and good acidity, making them long-lived.
For Gabellini family, wine is passion and in the chaotic rhythms of the everyday life, it allows you to restore its right pace, so when you uncork one of Tenuta La Viola's bottles, you will taste all those emotions experienced to get them. The wines that best represent the company are mostly red, like "Oddone", fresh and pleasant, made from the grapes of younger vines; “P.Honorii” is undoubtedly our outstanding wine, yet “Il Colombarone” is the most representative one; "InTerra" produced in amphorae and "Venticinque", a red Bordeaux blend.
