Since 1896 the Massolinos manage the family company, firmly believing in the deep affinity between the vine and the territory. For this reason, they have always invested in the typicality of the autochthonous grapes, working with the greatest care from the vine to the bottle and following step by step every moment of the production. Modernity and tradition find a synthesis within a family with a more than a hundred years old passion: the wine.
In the course of the years, the winery has expanded respecting the harmony of the medieval hamlet of Serralunga d’Alba, one among Italian nicest. Today the property counts 50 hectares, 36 of which are cultivated with vines, producing around 257.000 bottles per year; the family only vinifies the grapes from their own vineyards, as they are firmly convinced that the secret of a high-quality bottle lies first of all in the greatest quality of the cultivation in the fields.
The vineyards are in different hills, the have different expositions and sizes, they are all thriving and well looked after, the production in controlled and the aim is to take the best out of them in the basis of their age, position and the characteristics of the vintage.
Massolino wines are the result of a privileged connection with the vineyard as they interpret every peculiarity and shade of it.
