Scacciadiavoli

The estate of Scacciadiavoli is the result of the dream of Prince Ugo Boncompagni-Ludovisi in Rome, founded in 1884, was designed as an "establishment" of wine: a complex wine impressive and very modern for its time.
In 1954 Amilcare Pambuffetti (at the age of 71) acquired the estate of Scacciadiavoli.
It was the estate where as a boy, at the age of 14 years, he worked as an apprentice.
After his death in 1977 his children Alfio, Settimio and Mario continue in the activities undertaken by the father. In 2000 the brothers Pambuffetti (Francesco, Carlo, and Amilcare), children of Settimio, in the name of an ancient tradition, they decide to pick up the oldest plant in the area.

At the time the fourth generation (Amilcare, Iacopo, Liu, Romeo and Fiammetta) are young people most of all commit their time and energies to Scacciadiavoli.
At the moment the company size is 130 hectares of surface which has about 35 implanted vigneto. The vineyards occupy different sides of the hill in Montefalco, Gualdo Cattaneo and Giano and the wines produced are typical of the name "Montefalco".
