Marco Donati winery is located in Mezzocorona, at the heart of the Rotaliana plain and it is one of the oldest winery in Trentino since 1863 and it is recognized as a reference point in Trentino winemaking tradition, representing a family committed to enhancing high quality wine heritage. The history of the winery began about 150 years ago, when Luigi Donati bought Donati Maso together with the palace of the 1400s, belonging to the Counts of Spaur, and already at that time the vineyards in the estate were considered of great value, so much so that the resulting wines were the privilege of the most refined families. Nowadays, the tradition continues with Marco, Emanuela and Elisabetta, pursuing the objective of producing excellent wines that interpret the maximum expression of this territory, combining a centuries-old tradition with modern characteristics.
The wines produced by Marco Donati winery are obtained exclusively from grapes from vineyards of their own cultivation, situated in the most suitable areas of Trentino for grape growing. The production includes a collection of prestigious wines representative of the territory, appreciated by the most demanding connoisseurs and wine lovers. This mastery is best expressed in "Teroldego Sangue di Drago", the most representative, award-winning wine of the estate. Each cultivar is produced in the most appropriate terroir, where the exposure and the climatic conditions favor a perfect grape growing, which ensures a constant quality after harvest. Pursuing a targeted and constant phytosanitary struggle, with the aim of reducing interventions in the vineyard, the winery has eliminated chemical fertilizers and pesticides, preferring to defense the soils with products of mineral origin, such as copper and sulfur, respecting and safeguarding the vine and the environment, with the aim of achieving a perfect natural vegetative-productive balance in the vineyard.
