Arbaria Passito di Pantelleria DOC
Arbaria Passito di Pantelleria DOC is a meditation wine with a velvety, aromatic and sweet taste. Produced by Vinisola winery on the island of Pantelleria, it is made from Zibibbo grapes (also known as "Moscato di Alessandria"), cultivated on 50-60 years old bush-trained (low bush typical on Pantelleria), which cover the island's vineyards. The grapes are left to dry in the sun and they have a maximum yield of 30%-40% of the total harvest. The harvest is performed in the second decade of August by hand and part of the grapes dries on cane mats. After a long maceration of the must, followed by crushing, the winemaking process continues with a very slow fermentation, during which raisins are added a few times. Aging takes place in steel for more than 13 months.
Arbaria is golden yellow with amber undertones. It expresses intense and characteristic aromas of dried grapes, ripe and candied fruit. Sweetly aromatic taste with almond aftertaste. This sweet wine has an aging interest estimated at over 10 years. We recommend serving it at 10-12 °C or an room temperature for meditation.
