Ribolla Gialla Collio DOC Villa Russiz
Villa Russiz's Ribolla Gialla Collio DOC is a Ribolla typical of Collio from Friuli, cultivated in a vineyard owned by the winery and located completely to the South, on the typical marly soils of this area. The grapes are entirely harvested by hand, perfectly ripe and in the cooler hours of the morning and they are immediately taken to the cellar. After soft pressing and destemming of the whole bunches, grapes macerate cold for 1-2 days. The flower must thus obtained, after a first racking, is placed into fermentation tanks at controlled temperature, where it remains on its fine lees for at least 8 months. Bottling takes place approximately 8-9 months after the harvest.
It has a straw yellow colour with greenish undertones. The bouquet is pleasant and persuasive, filling the glass of wood, acacia flowers and oak aromas. We suggest serving this wine at a temperature of 10-12 °C.
