Vigneto Manachiara Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
Vigneto Manachiara Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is produced by Silvio Nardi winery and it represents the company's Brunello CRU. The Sangiovese grapes that compose it are harvested in Tenuta Manachiara, the one to the east. Its vineyard, located in the municipality of Montalcino with a South-East exposure, on a soil composed of sand rich in quartz and Pliocene clays. Fermentation and maceration are carried out in 22 days at the controlled temperature of 28-30 °C. Afterwards, the wine ages for 18 months in French oak barrels (Allier) plu further 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. It completes the refinement in the bottle for the next 2 years.
Deep ruby red colour, deep with light garnet undertones. The aromas are clean, intense and complex, with notes of ripe fruit, accompanied by floral notes and delicate spicy basckground. On the palate it has a soft attack that continues with a decisive evolution, supported by a right acidity. Equipped with a large structure supported by soft, sweet and enveloping tannins with a high persistence. This Brunello has a great aging potential. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18-20 °C.

Tenute Silvio Nardi
The history of Silvio Nardi winery is linked to the history of Brunello di Montalcino. Evertyhing started in the fifties, when Silvio Nardi - owner in Altotevere Umbro of one of the first not only Italian companies of agricultural machinery, founded in 1895 - bought the estate of Casale del Bosco in Montalcino. The first "foreigner" to invest in the wine sector in Montalcino, still an unknown country, Silvio Nardi baptizes the first bottle of Brunello from the cellars of Casale del Bosco.
