Casisano Rosso di Montalcino DOC
Casisano Rosso di Montalcino DOC evokes the fresh and fruity aromas that surround the Podere Casisano in Montalcino, owned by Tommasi group. It is a great wine made from Sangiovese Grosso grapes, offering the charm of the typical immediacy of the grape variety. After a traditional maceration on the skins for 12 days, the wine is aged for 8 months in Slavonian oak barrels and pauses for another 6 months in bottle before release.
This wine has a lively and elegant, medium-bodied soul. Intense ruby red colour, beautiful transparency. Complex bouquet reminiscent of violets, plums and small red fruits, combined with delicate hints of spices. The taste is dry, with a pleasant balance between tannins and acidity. Fresh and persistent finish. We suggest serving it at 18 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
The freshness and good structure of this Rosso di Montalcino DOC make it versatile at the table. Excellent to enhance first courses with meat sauces, grilled red meat, cold cut and cheese.
