Momi Maremma Toscana DOC
Momi is a very fine Maremma Toscana DOC Red wine, created from the best grapes of Guicciardini Strozzi winery's estates in Maremma (Tuscany). The fresh and elegant Sangiovese comes from Tenuta di Poggio Moreto in Scansano. Cabernet, Petit Verdot and Montepulciano are cultivated in Tenuta Massi nearby Roccastrada. The wine making process takes place in the more modern estate, Tenuta Massi, where the wine ages in oak barriques for about 3 months. The wine name "Mori" is a symbol of Prince Girolamo Strozzi's commitment and passion for the wine world, who is daily busy in the creation of innovative wines in his beloved land of Maremma.
Very intense ruby red colour. Intense vinous notes invade the glass and leave space to red fruits aromas, especially blackcurrant and blackberry, closing on slight boisée hints. On the palate it is of great body, warm, but with lively tannins in evidence, with a long finish and remarkable elegance. We suggest serving it at 16-18 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
It is excellent in combination with noble meat roasts, first courses of pasta based on wild boar sauce, medium-aged cheese.
