Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano DOCG Fattoria del Cerro
Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano DOCG is the most classic and famous label produced by Fattoria del Cerro. It is a Nobile di Montepulciano produced in the heart of the DOCG classification and obtained mainly from Sangiovese grapes, in this area also called Prugnolo Gentile. The grapes are harvested keeping them separated by type and plot. Fermentation is carried out with maceration in steel tanks for 12-15 days at a controlled temperature of 24-28 °C, with daily pumpings over and délestages. After the racking, the wine is transferred to large oak barrels where it completes the malolactic fermentation and ages for 18 months, before refining a few months in the bottle.
It has a vivid ruby red colour and good concentration. Intense fragrant aroma with evident fruity notes among which wild black cherry, violet and vanilla. Full balanced flavour with noticeable but discreet tannic component. Serve in medium size wine glasses at 16-18 °C.

Fattoria del Cerro is one of the Tuscan estates, located in Acquaviva in Montepulciano (SI), with its 181 hectares, whose 94 mostly devoted to the production of the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, for a total area of about 600 hectares, including the olive grove.
