San Basso Passerina Marche IGT
San Basso Passerina is a white wine produced by Tenuta Cocci Grifoni winery, obtained from 100% Passerina grapes. The territory where Cocci Grifoni's vineyards are located are characterized by the typical "calanchi" (cove/gully zone) and by a microclimate that makes these habitats ideal places for viticulture, thanks to the intense temperature range and the great availability of rainwater that is collected in depth valley according to the natural life cycle of the waters.
After a manual harvest from the second ten days of September, selected grapes are subjected to white vinificationinto thermo-conditioned vats at 16 °C. The wine then ages in stainless steel for 3 months and further 2 months in the bottle.
San Basso Passerina has a right straw yellow in appearance accented with vivid greenish hints. On the nose there an intensity and complexity that begins with floral notes of white fresh acacia flowers and continues with citrus flavors of lime, tangerine then hints of ripened apriocts. The palate is determined with evident freshness, great acidity and balance. A long, pleasant finish with fruity hints of citrus and yellow fresh summer fruits. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 8-10 °C.
