Tellus Chardonnay Lazio IGT
Born in 2016, the Tellus Chardonnay of Falesco winery is named after the goddess of the earth ("Tellus"), whose cult was celebrated by the ancient Romans on April the 15th. It is a wine able to express firmly all the intensity and richness of its 100% Chardonnay grapes, without ever losing balance and enjoyment of drinking. After the harvest, usually the first half of September, the grapes are macerated for about 7 hours at 10 °C, the must ferments in stainless steel on its lees for about 15 days and remains there until it is bottled.
The intense yellow colour gives complexity and richness immediately. Citrus fruits, cedar blend together with apple notes. Full to taste but also fresh, savory and persistent. We recommend serving it at a temperature of 10-12 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Thanks to the versatility of the vine, Tellus Chardonnay Lazio IGT can be tasted at any time. Great as aperitif or to match traditional Latium dishes. Delicate on white meats or paired with cold dishes, fish salads, salty pies, veal or potato stews.
Chosen for you
The Falesco Winery was established in Montefiascone (Lazio) in 1979 by Riccardo and Renzo Cotarella, both oenologists and deeply rooted in this territory between Lazio and Umbria regions. Renzo Cotarella is the CEO of the Antinori Group and Riccardo Cotarella is a winemaker consultant for more than 80 wineries around the world and President of the Union Internationale des Oenologues. Retrieving historical wines and isolating old clones with matchless aroma and organoleptic value, in particular Roscetto, was considered of paramount importance among the initial goals.
