Rosso di Montalcino DOC produced by Silvio Nardi winery is an easily approachable and young Tuscan red wine, which expresses the typicity of Sangiovese grape from Montalcino. A bright red for a simple Italian lifestyle. Fresh, fruity, pure and clean on the palate. The harvest is usually carried out manually in the second half of September. After a complete destemming, the must is subjected to a short cold pre-fermentative maceration followed by fermentation and maceration for at least 15 days, depending on the parcel, at a controlled temperature. The obtained wine is refined in woods of various capacities, partly new and partly used.


Intense ruby red colour. Pronounced aromas characterized by hints of ripe red fruits, together with a nice spicy component. On the palate it is warm, soft and full. Firmly structured with strong but velvety, non-aggressive tannins. Good length. We suggest serving this Rosso di Montalcino at a temperature of 16-18 °C.


Rosso di Montalcino DOC by Tenute Silvio Nardi is an excellent Tuscan red wine to accompany stuffed and well-seasoned roasts, braised meat or game, pasta dishes with a rich red meat sauce.

Tenute Silvio Nardi

The history of Silvio Nardi winery is linked to the history of Brunello di Montalcino. Evertyhing started in the fifties, when Silvio Nardi - owner in Altotevere Umbro of one of the first not only Italian companies of agricultural machinery, founded in 1895 - bought the estate of Casale del Bosco in Montalcino. The first "foreigner" to invest in the wine sector in Montalcino, still an unknown country, Silvio Nardi baptizes the first bottle of Brunello from the cellars of Casale del Bosco.
