Largé Barbera Piemonte DOC BIO
Barbera Largé produced by La Raia winery is the result of a selection of the best Barbera grapes from ancient vineyards in the area. This biodynamic Piedmont red wine is produced only in perfect vintages. The grapes are selected individually and, after destemming-crushing, the must is fermented with natural yeasts, through pumpovers in order to extract the color and the aromas. Alcoholic fermentation follows for 15 days and the must remains in contact with its skins for about ten days, before proceeding to malolactic fermentation at about 20 °C.After some decanting necessary to make the product clearer, the wine is refined in barriques for 20 months.
This wine is BIODINAMIC and the winery obtained the Demeter certification in 2007.
Very intense ruby red colour, with light purple undertones. The parfume is ample, reminiscent of chocolate and spices, blackberry and rose hip. The taste is full, full-bodied, harmonious, with balanced tannic sensations, together with sweet and persistent aftertaste. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18-20 °C. Thanks to aging for 20 months, this wine stands out for its aging capacity that exceeds 10 years.
