Riserva Elisa Valtellina Superiore DOCG
Riserva Elisa Valtellina Superiore DOCG is produced by La Perla winery in Tresenda di Teglio. The 100% Nebbiolo grapes come from the La Perla terraced vineyard and are cultivated with double Guyot on the Triacca system. After a late and manual harvest in 10-12 kg boxes, the winemaking procees provides for crushing and destemming processes at low temperature about 5-7 °C for a few days, then fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24 °C. Maceration is carried out about 20 days and, after malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in 5,5 and 10 oak barrels for 36 months. The wine completes its refinement in the bottle for another 12 months.
It has a garnet red colour. Intense nose, rich in sensations of vanilla and cocoa, red cherries and plums. Nice flavour of almond. Bright mouth, full body and with good acidity. Intense spicy aftertaste. We suggest serving it at 18-20 °C.

La Perla winery was founded in 2009 by Marco Triacca, in Valgella (Tresenda di Teglio), one of the hearts of the famous terraced vineyard of Valtellina. In 2009, wine production began with 1.5 hectares of vineyards, cultivating only the local Nebbiolo grape variety.
