Quattro Soli Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG
Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG is a red wine characteristic of the heroic terraces of Valtellina. Quattro Soli produced by La Perla winery is a perfect example, obtained from Nebbiolo grapes grown with double Guyot on the Triacca system. After a manual harvest in 4.5-5 kg boxes, grapes are dried in a well-ventilated cellars for about 3 months, losing up to 30% of water, thus concentrating all the other components. After crushing and destemming and short cold pre-fermentative period, temperatures reach 24 °C, in order to launch the fermentation process. Maceration on the skins lasts about 30 days and, after malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in 5.5 hl and 10 hl non-toasted oak barrels for at least 24 months. It completes its aging in the bottle for another 12 months.
It has an intense and deep garnet red colour, a rich and very complex fragrance that expresses notes of ripe red and black fruits, jam, as well as a subtle spicy and vanilla note that become more and more toasted. Strong taste, good structure and body. In the mouth it is complex persistent. It is a wine suitable for long aging. We recommend serving it at 18-20 °C.

La Perla winery was founded in 2009 by Marco Triacca, in Valgella (Tresenda di Teglio), one of the hearts of the famous terraced vineyard of Valtellina. In 2009, wine production began with 1.5 hectares of vineyards, cultivating only the local Nebbiolo grape variety.
