Nosiola Trentino DOC Istituto Agrario San Michele all'Adige
Nosiola is a white grape variety which is typical of Trentino Alto Adige, so called some say for the nutty colour of ripe berries, some others for the aroma of toasted hazelnut typical of the vine when vinified in purity. This Trentino white wine produced by the Edmund Mach Foundation winery and part of the "Istituto Agrario" monovarietal line, is made from 100% Nosiola grapes grown in Vigalzano area, not far from Pergine Valsugana. The harvest is manual, performed during the second ten days of September. After the traditional white vinification, the wine ferments in steel through a long stay on the fermentation lees.
Straw yellow colour with greenish undertones. Delicate, characteristic, fruity and floral perfumes. On the palate it is of medium structure, pleasantly acidulous. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 8-10 °C.
